Following or riding a body line/angle to a target, be it yours or the opponents.

The angle, based on the Eight Angles of Attack and Defense, that the weapon is delivered on and in what direction.

How the strike is delivered which has nothing to do with the angle. Examples;  hammering, slicing, whipping, thrusting, hooking etc…

Striking at targets square so that there is no dissipation of power or deflection.

Same principle as the step through, but broken into two parts where you get the distance and the rotation as a separate move.

Changing sides facing your opponents by losing or gaining distance meaning forward or reverse.

Changing your lead leg while also changing direction.

If you insert a minor move, like an eyeslice, and it makes your opponent react differently so that you can’t do the major strike then it’s not worth it.

1) Unless you want them to move to a new range.

2) Because they hold where it hurts and you’ll either be hitting their hands or they’ll block your strikes since their hands are there.

As you step out of the cat you will have a power principle so your weapon needs to be chambered to strike in time with the step.
